Memory paging constant

The memory is paging constantly - it has increased in
amount recently. The system is noticably slower - I have
reduced the paging file specs, 447 min & 672 max; that
seems to help some (tho the cache is running 90%
capacity).
A virus scan from Norton Anti-virus with 11/11/03 files
was run, nothing found.
Any suggestions?

Hi, Marwood.

Why not just let WinXP manage the page file size?

How much RAM do you have? Does the HD have plenty of space for the page
file? What kind of work is the computer doing: heavy graphics or other
memory-intensive projects?

The memory is there to be used; so is the page file. The fact that they are
being used does not indicate a problem. But, you said the system is slower;
when did this start?
