Hola

I have two 128Mb sticks of RAM but they are only being
picked as 56MB each. Do I need to Flash the bios to help
the motherboard recognise them?
Also my modem has stopped playing the dial tone when
connection to the internet. It works ok but I don't know
why it has stopped all of a sudden. The sound card works
ok as do the speakers.

Thanks for any input,

Junior

Junior - if the motherboard manual says those RAM slots can accept 128MB
sticks, no BIOS flash should be necessary; check they're firmly seated,
and they're of the type/speed required as specified in the manual. If
they meet all recommended specs, they're probably both defective. If
they're the wrong type, replace them.

Used singly, does BIOS see 128MB of each? Is that true for all slots?
