Does anyone know if there is any need or advantage in
having a third party memory manager when running Windows
XP? I have a holdover Memokit from W 98 SE that I may not
need.

You do not need it, XP is much better than Win 9.x at managing itself. It
will not work with XP anyway.

No, there's no need of slowing down your PC by installing one of
the alleged "memory managers." None of them actually do a bit of
good, regardless of OS; they're all scams.

Thanks for the input. I had no idea it would not do any
good. It is now gone and a better running PC is the result.
