hi,

i am having trouble running graphic programs such as
poser and bryce, someone said to adjust the shared
memory... how do i do that and is that a wise thing to do?

Not sure what they meant by "shared memory." The term is more common when
speaking about graphic programs and MACs. Some of these programs that have
been ported for use with PCs have internal memory settings. Open the
program and check the menus. Before changing anything, consult the program
documentation for recommended settings.

If they were referring to a graphics chip that "shares" system RAM (to use
as video RAM), where that gets adjusted depends on the system. Have seen
settings for this in Display Properties and in BIOS on various systems.
