I recently built a system as follows (see previous post):
ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
AMD 3000 Winchester
Gigabyte TI6600 Video card

I have some Corsair XMS PC3200 memory (1 gb); however, when I try to use
this memory, I get errors, lockups, etc. When I put some cheap PC 2100
memory in the machine, it is rock solid with no problems. I have been using
the Corsair in another system with no problems (ASUS A7N8X). I've upgraded
the BIOS to 1014, but i did not help. Seems this board does not do well with
the Corsair memory I have. I remember my older ASUS (A7N8X) work not work
well with Crucial.
Anyway, can anyone recommend a brand/speed of memory which works well with
this board?

Thanks again,

That board can be picky about the RAM. Do you have two 512MB Corsair
modules?
If so, did you install one in each blue socket? You should go into the BIOS
and
try different RAM timings. For example, try reducing the clock speed from
400MHz to
333MHz. Use a Memtest86 boot floppy or CD to test
(http://www.memtest86.com/).

I'm using TWINX1024-3200C2PT in the A8N-SLI
and a A7N8X-E Deluxe. I have overclocked the Deluxe
to the max without any problem. I run the A8N-SLI stock
with no overclock and have no problems there either.
I think it is very good memory.

Thanks,

I remember some of the older ASUS boards being picky about memory. I started
to buy more Corsair, but now I'm not sure if this is a good choice?

Thanks,
Kevin

Ditto. I'm using exactly the same RAM in an A8N-SLI Premium. I do
not overclock, but the computer is very stable with this memory at 400
MHz.

Ditto here.
I've used TWINX1024-3200C2PT in an A8N-SLI Premium.
It was stable (Prime95) at 400 & 440 MHz.
