I have been experiencing complete computer freeze ups. 99% of the time I can
only reset. I have been suspect RAM but I ran memtest-86 extensively on it
and got no errors. However tonight Internet explorer got hung up and gave me
this message:

iexplore:
"the instruction at "0x04aaf990" referenced memory at "0x04aaf990". The
memory could not be read.

Could there be a connection between this error and my other freeze-ups.

I just fixed a problem with my son's computer. It had random blue screens.
Was fixed with new RAM module. RAM seems to be very common cause of trouble.
Could also be motherboard or power supply.

Could also be heat, check the fan. Most likely bad ram though. Its cheap
enough these days buy a new stick of ram and if it was not that then at
least you can add them together although you do not state what ram you have

I have no idea what RAM manufacturer I have. SI SOFT Sandra indicates CPU
temperature is 47C (after running the burn-in module). Normally it is 42C.
It also indicates power supply voltages up where they should be.
Puzzling....

You could try re-seating the memory sticks and video card. In my
experience, loose components cause more problems than anything else.
Good Luck.
