I am running XP on a P4/1.8/256 RAM, using Internet
Explorer 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2. Everything works, except
when I close IE, I received an Application Error box for
IE.exe which states -- "The instruction at "0x01833748"
referenced memory at 0x01833748." The memory could not be
read."

I can close the box with no problem and everything still
works. I can open IE, browse, search or do whatever. But
as soon as I close IE I'll get the error box.

Any Suggestions ?

Thanks

Hi Lacy,

Disable the tool bands and Browser Helper Objects features:

Close all instances of Internet Explorer
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Internet Options.
Click the Advanced tab.
Under Browsing, click to clear the Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart) check box.
Restart Internet Explorer.

Scan the system with Ad-Aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) and eliminate the
malware products causing the abnormal program termination.

If the problem continues, reinstall Internet Explorer using this method (for
XP):
