I just reinstalled XP home (oem sp1). I reinstalled b/c it was having memory dumps quite frequently. After the install, I installed AOL 9.0 so I could go online and get better vid drivers as well as the microsoft updates. While I was looking for my vid drivers, the machine memory dumped. A fresh load of XP with one app loaded should not dump. it has 512mb ram. athlon 2400 i think 2ghz. i suspected bad memory but ran the memory check app that i got from microsoft, and it said the ram was good. Any suggeestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you. (it may be quicker to send an email as well as post a reply here)

it could be a number of problems including bad memory. There are several
burn in programs I would install one of them and let your computer run over
night!
