Chuck

When attempting to shut down, computer makes a 160MB file
called memorydump. Upon try ing to restart, evertime it
goes to 'scandisk' and takes about 10 minutes to report
that all is well. A file is loaded into system called
DUMPREP.exe. I have to start taskmgr and remove half a
dozen files before computer will run. Shutdown takes
about 2 minutes, and start-up can take up to 20 minutes.
Where do I start?

Thanx

You can adjust the size of your dump by right click My Computer, Properties,
Startup and Recovery, click on settings, in the Write debugging information,
change it to Small memory dump (64 KB).

You should send the memory dump to Microsoft Online Crash Analysis
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/Welcome.asp

Thanks
