Hi all!
Is theyre a way to check if my memory is still working
good a 100%??
I have that problem when i run demanding 3d game
(shooters). This problem just started a week ago, first
the game jam like if i have a lot of lag ,my fps drop to
even lower than 1.Afther that just to get out of game it
take like 5 to 10 min and the whole systeme is jam ,my
HDD light is on permanently and i have to reboot by
holding the power button.
Is it possible that my sdram memory fail and than the
system jumps on the virtual memory took from the hard
disk?
My question was :Is theyre a way to check if my memory is
still working good a 100%??
Thx
ben

Hey Ben,

You can you the windows memory diagnostic, but you'll need a floppy disk to
boot it from.
Download it here.
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

Also check your system event log, if there are memory errors they may be
recorded there, look for any errors which are flagged with a white cross on
a red circular background.

start/run
eventvwr.msc

Click on system in left pane, to get all the system event log entries
displayed in the right pane.

Ben I'll bet you have a H/P pavilion,or Compaq.Their
good for that.Probably a Celeron proccesor.Dude try a
Dell with a pentium 4,if you want your game to work!As
your check,go to start-all programs-hewlett packard-h/p
tools-h/p tools for windows, click it and run the memory
diagnostics.
