Is there a way to allocate MORE memory per user in our TS Citrix XP
environment, other that saying add more physical memory and increase the
swap file?? We have tons of unused memory which users don't seem to be able
to take advantage of.

Thanks!

Have you configured the Citrix servers with "Optimize for
applications - foreground processes" or words of similar meaning?
Other than that, you can't do much. Have you checked if there is
another bottleneck preventing the users from utilising the systems
memory (CPU, disk usage, NIC, etc)?

What specific error message are you getting that leads you
to want to increase the memory per user?

As far as I know, the memory is allocated by the OS, and
it can't be changed.

We are in 'maximize for file sharing' mode. There are no errors. We are
experiencing some slow down from disk hammering, which I discovered through
extensive performance monitoring. That's where I noticed that very little
system memory was being utilized. I just thought it might be nice that once
I split up the disk traffic and fix that problem, to allow more memory per
user to enhance their performance. We have 4GB of memory with no more than
15 users at a time average. We just ordered XPe and will utilize load
balancing soon as well. Should we be in maximize for network applications,
since really all users are considered local??

Thanks for your input!

Kevin
