I got the memory access violation message for "kernel 32
at 1468.39967831". what does this mean and what can I
do to fix it?

I assume you see this only while you use one particular
application.
If it is only one application causing this problem: contact the
vendor of that application.
Otherwise give more details here.

I get the msg after startup, after the logon process.
 
Try boot in safe mode: hit F8 in the early boot stage, and
select Safe Mode.
Try to find out what programs are starting at logon.
Can you perhaps logon with another account?
