Wish I was using Lotus Notes

Meetings are being added to calendars without people accepting or declining
them. They are not set to add automatically. Why is this happening? It
becomes frustrating because then people think they don't have to
accept/decline since it is already on their calendars!

Please help!

I am not sure. Would that be the reason they get added automatically?

Yes. Outlook adds all meeting requests to the calendar and marks them
tentative until they are accepted or declined. They should have a small
hashed strip on the left side.
