Windows 2003 Exchange server and Office 2003 - We have users who want to use
the Meeting request feature in Outlook. Issue: users mail request for the
meeting goes to whole firm besides the user that it was intended for. Any
thoughts?? We have check delegates, permissions and rights, with no luck.
Help…

Hi,

Unfortunately I don't have solution to your problem. I have exactly the same problem. If certain people is added to Exchange calendar invitation then invitation goes to everyone instead of just to the people in invitation list. This happens only with one domain account. We have Windows 2003 Server and AD domain accounts and Exchange 2003.

Have you find a solution to the problem? I can't figure out what is wrong with the account and before I try to delete-recreate the account I'd like to try something else.

Solution! case closed?

I had the same issue, and the following worked for me:

1. Within MS Outlook, if you click on the Tools menu, followed by Options, then the Delegates tab

2. For each Delegate in your list of delegates, you can view their assigned Permissions by clicking on the particular delegate in the list then on the Permissions button (3rd one down on the right)

3. As you can now see, under the Calendar ‘drop down list’ there is a ‘Tick Box’ that says ‘Delegate receives copies of…’, therefore make sure that this box is unticked within the MS Outlook email client of your recipients and click OK.

Then meeting-related invitations will not be forwarded to the other users in their Delegates list.

You might want to forward this message to the affected invitation recipients (The way that it seems, that unwanted invitation-forwarding feature is to do with the way that their ‘Delegate Permissions’ preferences have been configured).

Hope this helps! Jackal - Nad
