When I send a meeting request, the response buttons are not showing up in the
receiptents email, just a bunch of **_**_***

When I test send myself a request, I do see the buttons.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

I should also say the ISP is a POP3 mail server through COMCAST ... thinking

be set?

You need to force Rich Text Format rather than the default allow Outlook to
select the best format.

You can either try what Milly suggested, or look in Tools | Options |
Calendar Options and make sure the box for iCalendar is checked.
