Does anyone have any recommendations for a color laser printer with a
low cost per page meeting the following critera?

- 50-60K pages/yr.
- all red ink (legal and letter)
- about 5% ink page coverage. ( I think?)

The printer's job will be to print red block forms for OCR scanning.

_Probably_ a Kyocera FSC-xxxx they seem to have low running costs and
shouldnt need drums replacing every two minutes.

However, the question is whether anyone makes a monochrome red only
printer. Or if someone makes red toner for a mono printer with suitable
adjustment to the printer driver. Certainly a mono printer should have
lower running costs - its just a question of whether you can find
someone who will make that mono a red mono as opposed to black.

From what I've seen, red seems to be the most common color for OCR
forms. I see a lot of government documents in this format.
