Hi there,

Recently my pc started crashing when playing games (Half life 2 etc).

After some investigation I found out that the fan on my graphics card (Medion Radeon 9600TX) was no longer working.

So I need to replace the fan, I have been looking at the Arctic Cooler range, but herein lies my problem.

I need to correctly identify my card to ensure I purchase the right model cooler, I have just spent 30 minutes on the telephone to Medion technical support only to be told that the card is definately an ATI Radeon 9600TX, however ATI do not list this card only a Radeon 9600XT.

After some research it appears that the information given to me by Medion Technical support is wrong and the card was actually manufactured by MSI for Medion and are based on the Radeon 9500Pro.

However I can not find out if this was simply a rebadge of the Radeon 9500Pro or if the card itself is built differently - without identifying exactly what card this is, I can not purchase a suitable cooler.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so how do they solve it, or does anyone know what card this really is?

Many thanks for your help in advance.

Lee

Thanks for the response, the card is definately a TX and not a XT, which is were my problems lie.

PC wizard gives the following information for it:

Bus Type : AGP
Manufacturer : ATI Technologies Inc.
Total Memory : 128 MB
Texture Memory : 242 MB
