Windows 7 media players

windows 7: I have vlc, real, qt are supposed to work together. I have powerdvd which has a .ifo file pdvd launch policy application. Since I upgraded to vlc 1.1.11 I think that file interferes with vlc launching. How do I take control?

Use window media player, its far better than the other one.
