Hello,

A few weeks ago I downloaded the latest version of MS Media Player from the
MS website, assuming that it would be an improvement over the previous
version.

I've had nothing but problems since.

How do I get back to the previous version?

Thanks

KK

If you have installed Windows Media Player 10, you can roll back to the
version of the Player that was on your computer before installing Windows
Media Player 10.

To roll back from Windows Media Player 10 to a previous version, do the
following:

1. In Control Panel (Category View), click Add or Remove Programs.

2. Click Remove a program, and then do one of the following:

If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, select the Show updates check
box (at the top of the list), click Windows Media Player 10 (in the Windows
Updates section), and then click Change/Remove.
- or -
If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 1 or earlier, click Windows Media
Player 10, and then click Change/Remove.

You can also use System Restore to roll back to the previous version of the
Player.

For most people, WMP 10 is no problem at all, and a nice improvement over
WMP 9. Before you remove WMP 10, why not post your problem(s) in the
newsgroup for Windows Media Player:

Hi

Have you had a look in Add/Remove Programs for an uninstall option?

Ted,

Thanks for your help, but judging from the number of questions being sent to
windowsmedia.player I suspect that I'm not the only one having difficulty
with version 10.
