Media Player

I just installed a new motherboard/CPU in my computer. ( running windows xp
pro ) i went thru the usual stuff to get it running again with out having to
reinstall my software ( inplace upgrade ). when i was done, everything works
fine except that i have no video when playing video files, just sound.
windows media player dosent work, my ati file player dosent' work, my ATI TV
tuner has sound, no video. I checked direct X, no problems, reinstalled them
anyway. i reinstalld my Divx Pro codec's, no luck there either. if any one
has any ideas, i would love to hear them. i really hate to think that i will
have to do a clean istall to fix this. i have way to much software installed
to even think of doing that.

thanks, yes i have looked in to mycomputer/hardware. there are no errors,
have reloded video drivers, divx codecs, direct x 9, and media player. still
no luck.

lose everything so back up if you can also have you tryed looking in to the
system conig by right clicking my computer then properties then device
maneger see if the graphics card has a probalam sorry about the spelling
this is because i am dyspaxic i also have a lot of experince in computers so

Ok then if you can back up your hard rive and reinstall windows see if that work s cos it did for me
