hi there 1and all ,i am only new to using a computer ,i am running xp home i
would like to know what the difference is between xp and media edition,and if
i need both to set up my computer to watch television etc, you see i am in
the process of buying parts now for a new computer so as i can record tv
programs etc but am not sure what i need any help would be gratefully
accepted thank you kindly Frank

Media Center Edition *is* one of the "flavors" of Windows XP. It is
essentially a superset of XP Professional, containing all of XP
Professional's features plus its special media-related features, and minus
XP's Pro's ability to join a domain.
