I am having trouble removing media player from windows xp.

keep getting this. Win media player is not installed properly ,res your computer and log in with a user account what permits you to install.

Have;'nt even got any account on my pc. It wil not removed from control panel aswell.

Hi There! You do not mention windows xp home/pro, also are you using media player 9 that came with windows xp if you MP 9 is used download and install from contral panel MP10, no need to un-install mp9 instead on your keyboard - press Flag+R to call up regedit-go to edit/find then search for MP9 then hit enter, once found delete mp9 and go back and repeat but find next until the registery says cant find anymore, then re-boot, after all this install Media Player 10 this is most suited to XP - don't forget to turn off all privacy in MP10 before going on the Internet.

<You see in XP even though you have done the un-install the program still sticks in the registery> this is why you are seeing these messages.
