Media Player wont play CDs correctly

I just installed a newer sound card (Creative's SB Audigy LS) and now when i
try to play audio cd's it plays distorted and scratchy and Ive played around
with everything, from re-installing the drivers to scratching my head. Help
would be great. I want to listen to my cd's!!
