Media Player VISUALIZATION SOUND DISTORTED

When I use windows media player 9 or a earlier version.

When the visualization is turned on the sound is
distorted if I turn it off the sound is great.

I have tried everything I can think of, if
anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Open WMP and click Tools/Options/Visualization
Click to expand...
tab/Properties button/Player setting/resolution at 640 by
480 and buffer size set at 256 by 192 pixels/Apply/OK.
