I usually burn the whole My Music folder to DVD. Is that what you meant?

thanks Galen, can you give me a step by step way to do this. I've tried with
my windows and my nero but something always seems to block me from getting
anywhere. I'm new to all this.

Open Nero, click on DVD in the drop down menu, make a data DVD, wait for the
next screen to load... (Why is it that even on a screaming PC it takes a
while to open?) Anyhow... Add the files or the directory and burn just like
you would any other DVD. It works for CD too... For burning music CDs (I
like to mix and match my music) that play in the truck I just go ahead and
use JetAudio. I think the free version offers the burning capability, I
wouldn't know because that's one of the pieces of software I tend to buy at

Hi Galen it's me again. I tried what you said and i burned some songs to a
data dvd, but the majority of my music is not in my doc/music file. I cant
seem to access the songs in my media player to make a data disc. How do i get
to the music files in my media player?

Well, where did you store them? Are they actually stored on your PC or are
they streamed to your PC when you play them? If they're streamed you'd have
to download them (usually right clicking the original link and selecting
save target works pretty well) and then back them up. If you bought them
from some online store they might be coded to only play on the computer they
were downloaded to. However there's the find media files option under tools
and under the burn you can press the Burn List in the upper left, in the
white section, and select playlists in there.
