I have used WMM extensivey over the past several months with no problems at
all. I created about 40 educational videos and they turned out great! Here
it is about 1 month later and I am preparing for another project so I opened
WMM but I kept getting an error that said "We're sorry WMM has encountered a
problem and has to close". I found out by reading these discussion group
issues that I had to un-register and then re-register the qedit.dll file and
that solved that problem. Problem solved. BUT NOW, the problem is that the
media player inside WMM that allows me to preview my videos is not working at
all! It kind of sits there in the right side of the screen and the screen
just kind of vibrates; none of the buttons (Play, Pause, etc.) work and then
WMM shuts down.

Anybody have a similar experience and any resolution?

Thanks much!

It may be because the DV codec in your
system has gone astray...

Execute the following batch file to fix it:
http://www.rehanfx.org/utils/reregdlls.bat

If that fails.....

Try reducing your Graphics Hardware
Acceleration as per the instructions in
the following article...if an improvement
is realized...you need to update your video
driver.

(272193) PI: How to Troubleshoot
Graphics Issues
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=272193
(scroll down to:
Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows XP)

If you need to update your video driver...
the following steps may help you:

Go to the support website of your video
adapter's mfg. and search for Windows
XP Compatible drivers.

If you don't know the make and model of
your video adapter...check the documentation
that came with the computer.

Also you could try these steps...
Go to...Start / Run...type...
msinfo32 ...press enter.

On the System Information screen...choose...
Components / Display...

You should find the make and model of your
display adapter as well as the driver version.

If the driver on the support website is more
current than the one you are running...
download it and install it. Also you should find
and follow the installation instructions at the
support site.

Once the driver is updated...return your acceleration
to Full.
