Media player. problem removing playlist below file menu

Could someone help me with media player
When you start media player and go to file on top lefthand corner the menu
travells down.
At the bottom of that menu there is a list of media that I cannot play and
has been deleted from the computer.You click on it and nothing happens and
you can't delete it
How do you delete this list permanetly?

Your help would be most appreciated?
