Media Player plays fast.??????

I just strted a new hard drive, with Win 2000, on it.My Media player worked
fine the first few days, then it started to play every thing 3 times
faster,and i have know idea why.I have tryed to uninstall an reinstall it but
it still plays fast.I NEED HELP....

I searched microsoft.com for "media-player too-fast". This result
sounds like it may help, even if you're running a different version
of Media Player.
