Media Player Playlists

Hello,
I'm playing in a two peice raock band using backing tracks.
is there a way to get Media Player to play a playlist but hold the beginning
of each song instead of going right from one song to the next?

Not as far as I know.

Hit the pause button ?

You could always record blank tracks of a certain length ......
