My Windows Media Player is out of phase. It's not the speaker connections,
as music plays correctly through other programs. It's just Windows Media
Player 10. Oddly, DVDs play fine, but CDs are also out of phase.

I've looked through many setup areas in Windows and did many searches on
line. I'm coming up empty. How can I fix this?

Hi, my name is David and ill be happy to assist you. First of all, what does
"out of phase" mean? I need to know the actuall problem. Second, what type of
computer do you have. If you have any questions, or you need help, please
email me at: (e-mail address removed)
Thank you.

Hi,

was there an answer to this? I have the same problem. It sounds like a
"vocal remover" (none installed), or "karaoke" setting (none enabled that I
could find). The music sounds generally mushy, the main vocal is severely
decreased in volume (only some reverb is audible of the main vocal), and
panning the audio hard left or right (using the balance on the
"enhancements" section) confirms that the problem only happens in stereo.
All SRS and EQ effects are OFF.

Alright I feel silly. The problem was "3D Depth," a feature on my generic
soundcard, accessible through volume control. This needed to be off. Seems
quite useless!
