Hi,
I am running Media Player 9.00.00.3349 and I have noticed that it
overwrites .mp3 files when I play an album.
I use CDEXX to rip music CDs along with asx.exe to generate .asx format
playlists. I noticed that when I use SynchToy to update the backup of
my .mp3 folders it was updating older folders as well as the newly
ripped ones.
It is not a SyncToy problem because I just now ripped a CD
(Rammstein/Sehnsucht, since you ask) then generated an .ask file for
it. Around half an hour later I played the .asx file through and 9 of
the 11 tracks now have a later timestamp than the original ripped
timestamp. The altered tracks are all except for track 1 and track 2
on the album.
So can anyone tell me what gives and how to prevent this behaviour ?
Many thanks,
Mike
