when I attempted to open an email with an octet stream a fault occured ID No 800C0008. as I am not to computer savvy can anyone help with a cure

According to "The Other Chris" this can't be fixed by saving the file to
your hard drive first, it will involve you having the file re-sent to you
using the following instructions. - http://tinyurl.com/39lsk.

As the instructions will not work or even apply to everyone, the following
might also help.

Save the file to your hard drive first and *then* try to play it back. When
using a service like Hotmail the media file might want to try and use the
Media Bar in IE6 to play and not allow you to download the file directly.
Disabling the Media bar is a good idea...

To Disable the Media Bar...
Click the Media button (IE Toolbar button). Then click Media Options in the
Media bar. Goto Settings>>Uncheck "Play web media in the bar".

You may read more about the error at http://tinyurl.com/ytk39.

**If you have an attachment that is not too personal and none of the above
has helped I would love it if you could forward it to me. Put "800c0008" in
the subject line and include the forwarded message with the attachment.
(e-mail address removed) (Remove .NOSPAM)
