When Media Player is in full screen mode I've noticed that the time line /
scrub bar flickers on and off. Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks,
Dustin

Yep, and the the total length of the movie which is suppose to always
show only shows if your press down and hold the scrubber button.

There are MANY bugs in Media Player. There always have been. I keep
asking why?

1. Inability to correct play some AVI and MPEG files.
2. Inability to play audio tracks in some videos start to finish.
3. Unexplained pausing, stuttering, skipping, breakup.
4. Some videos can show upsidedown or totally reverses left to right.
5. Hue, Contrast controls do not function properly or work at all.
6. Often hangs before finishing video, audio may play, then cut out.
7. Nags about "can't find a codec", already installed on system.
8. Plays far below rated frame rate on some vids.
9. Has trouble with many DVD's some HD vids

The list goes on and on. Micosoft in over ten years still hasn't fixed
this Windows applet perferring instead to keep adding more "features"
that rarely work as advertised.

And no, these are NOT codec issues. Because every file that exhibits
any of these symptoms PLAYS FINE if played on another player. While no
player can play everthing the iroy is the built-in Media Player can't
even play videos that run on Microsoft authored codecs. How silly is
that?

So Microsoft, how come you can't fix this?

from Elliot Carver in 007's "The World is Not Enough":

Carver- "Mr Jones are we ready to release our new software?"
Jones- "Yes sir, as requested, it's full of bugs. Which means people will be
forced to upgrade for years."
Carver- "Outstanding."
