When I check the Auto Start option for playback, within Windows Media Player
Active X Control properties, it dose not automatically play, when loaded in
my web page. You still have to press the play button on the player itself.
It use to work when I last accessed my wesite, some time ago! Can anyone
help?

This may be a result of the new policy for ActiveX that MS instituted
recently where you have to click the control to make it active. I could be
mistaken however as I have avoided ActiveX to be compatible with Firefox
users.

Guy is correct. Because of the Eolas patent lawsuit MS has been forced to
change the way objects behave when they are embedded into a web page. They
now require the click interaction to activate them in order to get around
the patent. IE behaves like this and I've noticed that embedded objects such
as the Flash player also behave like this in Opera as well.

Hope this helps,
