I cannot play certain video files in Windows Media
Player. I have XP. It has errors downloading codecs, and
thus only audio works. I have downloaded all the codecs
from Microsoft.com and have also tried installing
drivers. NOTHING WORKS! Please help me out. How can I get
the proper thing to make video run? And is it even a
codec problem?
Thanks

They are divX, which I should have by downloading the
Codec pack from Microsoft.com right?

Make sure Windows Media Player is selected for all of the media types. You probably need to get a different divx codec or player... no, don't rely on Microsoft for it.
