I was wondering if there is an way to manage the
hidden "Album Art" files that are created when ripping cds
to the computer... they are becoming too numerous to be
efficient, and I don't really use them anyways. Is there a
way to turn off Media Players ability to look up album art
on the web?

Is there an easy way to delete all of these hidden files
without getting rid of all my music and starting over?

Thanks in advance!

If you select to view the System and Hidden files in
Windows Explorer > View Files, you will see the metadata
file that WMA puts in the mp3 folder, as well as the
various JPEG's (_sm, folder, etc.) that it saves to your
hard-drive. I assume if you just delete that information,
you will not longer have the data to be viewed in WMA9.

Hope that helps.

album art is downloaded as part of the metadata.

you could delete these pretty easy from the command line. just navigate to
where your music files are and try

del /h /s *.jpg
