WTF? My brand-new HP Pavilion zv5000 (XP Home) with built
in 802.11g is usleless when it comes to Microsoft's
Windows Media Player v9 (or <<<< versions for all I know)
high-speed networking.
I started using Media Player on a dial-up connection.
Worked fine, Media Guide loaded (slowly) but it worked.
I upgraded to AOL for Broadband and turned on my wireless
network software and everything sees the braodband
connection just fine... except for Media Player, which
displays the page not found error. When I switch back to
dial-up, it works. When I use broadband, it doesn't. I
messed with all the proxy settings in the Control Panel
and in the Media Player "Options" button, but to no avail.
Media Player doesn't see the broadband connection.
Anybody having this problem? Anybody know how to solve it?
F if I'm paying M$$$ $35 to ask a question. Seems like a
Microsoft bug to me...
