Those sites are very informative but I couldn't find anything that addressed
my situation. MP10 worked fine up to a couple of days ago when it started
having the desribed problem. Before, when video was downloading it fully
downloaded before playing. Now it will download for a bit, try to play it,
then download some more, try to play it, etc. When I try to watch completed
downloads it is like slow motion or single frame advance but the picture
"jumps" from point to point as it progresses through the download, it isn't
smooth movement.

Did you ask your question in the Windows Media Player newsgroup, as Carey
recommended? That's where you'll find the WMP experts.

I just got my high speed connection last month, have been downloading
a few shows. Had a similar situation of very jittery video playback,
fixed by installing DJBCP codec pack 4.3.3 (29MG) at
http://www.free-codecs.com/DJBCP_Codec_Pack_download.htm

This has allowed me to play those files using Windows Media Player and
some other players. I find that I prefer the VLC media player, but,
again, I'm new to this.
