Dave

I just installed the new Media Player 10, and even
rebooted my machine, and there is an "x in a box" icon
near the top right-hand corner of the media player
window. I discovered that this should be the MSN
Butterfly. Why doesn't this display correctly????

Hi Dave!

I would like to know the same thing. I am also displaying an "X" on the
skin in the spot that you have mentioned and I have installed Media Player 10
twice with the same result.

Hi everyone, I found the answer to the "Red X"!!!

Pulldown the menu to the right of the box with the "Red X" and choose an
online store. The logo of that source will now replace the "Red X" with the
proper icon such as Walmart or Napstear.

Perhaps it's related to the famous Red X bug in Internet Explorer. Clear IE's
cache, and see if that helps.

I've found that MS seems to have fixed the download to include the
missing butterfly. If you download and re-install WMP, you get the
Butterfly icon in its proper place--at least that's what happened for
me.
