My song info. is correct when I view them in explorer but
when I add them to my music library the wrong info. is
placed there instead. I deleted all my music files from
the library and added them back using (search my computer)
for media and they were still wrong. Please help me

You're referring to mp3 files, right? It's not the fault of WMP. WMP is
displaying the track tag information, NOT the file name you see when you
look at the file in Windows Explorer. You need to edit the ID3 tags of your
problematic mp3 files, that's all. There are a number of free ID3 Tag
editors available out there. A few are listed here:
http://www.team-mp3.com/mp3/id3_editor_links.htm If you have MusicMatch
Jukebox already installed on your system, it will edit track tags also.

Track tag editors allow you to change the track info displayed by your media
player- you can even add pictures like CD cover art if you like.

HTH,
Ian.

Yes I Am Referring to .mp3 and .wma files and yes the
tag info. in my files is correct. This info. can be
viewed through the properties window in explorer and this
info. is how Media Player 9 and other programs retrieve
song data when not online. My Problem is That The Media
Players Data Base info that was retrieved online is the
only thing that Media Player sees to complete its library
data. I Can delete the albums from my library and add
them back and the data stays the same yet its wrong. My
media Player on my lap top computer did not retrieve this
song data online and its song data comes fron my tags
info. that is attached to my song files as are tags for
album pictures. Once the data is retrieved online Media
players Library data base overide any and all tags
attached to my song files. If I Knew where this library
data base is I would delete and copy the one from my lap
top. Still need Help in this way or finding a setting
that will force Media Player to use only my file tag info.
If You Have any more advice I would be very Thankful.
