I have a mulitmedia keyboard, and the only extra keys that function is the
sleep key. None of the other keys do anything, regardless of the state of
the F Lock key.

Just exactly what make of keyboard do you have? What model is it?
Whatever, do you have up-to-date drivers for it?
If not, get them (may I suggest a Google search). If you can't find them,
post back the manufacturer and model.

Sorry, that was exceptionally vague. I was used to try to get the MS email
a tech thing, which happened to crash consistenly, but if worked would have
included all that information.

I have a MS Multimedia keyboard. That's tge full name. It their black
not-natural, not usb keyboard. It has keys to open your documents folder,
load IE, control volume, etc. None of these keys work. Also, I've tried
Intellitype 5.0 in addition to 2.22. Neither worked. I did read this group
first, in addition to searching MS knowledgebase and google.
