I was gifted a "home theatre" PC, and now I am not surprised it
was discarded.
1. Wanky arty metal case, the DVD drive has a lump of matching metal
glued to the front, which bends the tray down
2. has 2 small case fans together, when 1 large fan would be quieter
3. the power supply is mounted reversed with the fan facing out.
So a breathing hole must be made in the side for this. But it is
only 10 cm wide, when the fan is 14 cm.
4. has a graphics card with way more power than needed to watch a
HD movie, consequently with a big cooling fan whoosing away
5. the case is so cramped that you have to pull it half to bit
to change anything
6. has a sockets for 7 speakers, when the mainboard only supports 5

So move all the components to a better case, removing the metal
thing from the DVD drive. Swap the high-power graphics card into
the system you do graphics stuff with, or put a more resasonable
card in this system and sell the powerful one on Ebay.

A computer is just a collection of components assembled together.
There's no reason you can't reassemble them.

The fan is supposed to face out to draw heat out of the unit.

Reroute the cabling.
