Media Center keeps crashing

My rig consists of:
P4 3Ghtz
ATI 9600

I've got Aero and Vista works fine except for media center. I can never
start it up. It shows up for a sec or 2 and then crashes.
What is going wrong or what am I doing wrong

I''ve got the exact same problem as you except media center doesnt even open.
it just starts making a crash report before anything happens. is there a way
to just install media center or reinstall it from the cd??

I get random reboots in media center every time i open it and try to play
video or look at pictures. my Lan wont work on reboot so every time i need
to reset router to get lan back up. I get crashes in alot of other programs
also. I hope Microsoft has plans on doing alot of work to this before they
release because this OS as it is now is not functional at all. looks pretty
but dosent work!!!!!
