media card reader/usb conflict

i have a built in card reader which shows up in explorer as 4 extra drives, all works fine until i plug in usb mp3 player, the media card software kicks in and tells me that no card has been inserted, the mp3 player appears and disappears in" my computer". could i just uninstall the card reader software and manualy browse my media cards?
 
i would uninstall the media card software, make sure system restore is up to date so at least you get a second chance
 
Well you have done it now its ok talking to yourself, but answering yourself can get you locked up.:)

finally a reaction, i just wanted to talk to someone really!! its lonely round here. yes it did work.
