Try using the tank barracades on the beach as cover.

Just start running and crouch down behind the barricades
as much as possible. You'll notice that theres a pattern
to there fireing. Just learn that and try to keep getting
up. Also the storming of Omaha map requires a lot of trial
and error. So save constantly.

you must find the medic half way up the beach. He will heal you. He's a
little to the right of where you land and half way to the shingles. Don't
despair, you can get there in about 30 tries with luck!
