I posted this in the OE newsgroup - got one reply. Please read the whole thread. I'm not sure what to do with this.

MSNMSGR.EXE is MSN Messenger and MSNMSGS.MSI, a Windows Installer Package,
is part of the MSN Messenger installation. It should be found in
C:\Windows\SYSTEM [or SYSTEM32] \MSN Messenger [version number].

What version of MSN Messenger are you attempting to run? Is Windows
Messenger the default instead? Do you have MSN Messenger selected to load
along with OE in OE Tools dropdown menu? Do you have Contacts pane enabled
in OE View>Layout?

I think the experts at this newsgroup would be able to help you better,
Drew:

I recently upgraded my PC from Win ME to XP. Everything
works except for outlook express - which gives me this
error message upon boot:
resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or
enter an alternate path to a folder containing the
installation package
'MsnMsgs.msi' in the box below
hit cancel, my PC finishes booting just fine. I installed
outlook express off my XP CD again. It won't give me an
OE icon, but it does place a folder Outlook Express on my
hard drive with MSIMN in it. However, MSIMN will not run
& I get the following error message:
hitting the error report details button:

I'm not sure what to do next. Thanks in advance for
assistance on this.

I've tried several times to reinstall from the download
site, each time with no success. While I'm not Drew, I'm
having exactly the same problems. I also added my own
post under "MsnMsgs.msi" I too cannot find that file
anywhere.

If you could send a reply to my email, that would be
great. Thanks.

Tony
