I upgraded to XP home and now my DSL internet connection
will not work. Please help. Thanks, Stone

Check with your ISP for their hardware and connection configuration for XP.
I'm almost certain they are different for XP than what they were for ME.
Also, the following should help. You should not have to use your ISP's
connection software at all.
To make a broadband connection using Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet
(PPPoE)

1.. Open Network Connections.
2.. Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection, and then click
Next.
3.. Click Connect to the Internet, and then click Next.
4.. Click Setup my connection manually, and then click Next.
5.. Click Connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name
and password.
6.. Follow the instructions in the New Connection Wizard providing the
information from your ISP.
Note

a.. To open Network Connections, click Start, point to Settings, click
Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections.

Greetings --

Have you installed the WinXP-specific device drivers that are
provided by your DSL modem's manufacturer?
