Me to 2k

I have previously installed win2k and had a driver or modem conflict, Why? I reinstalled the modem drivers from 3.5 disc got on-line downloaded the updates, all was fine for about 10 mos. For some reason I started having problems. I could download but couldn't install. I have downgraded my OS to ME and would like to reinstall 2kpro but I don,t want anymore hassles. What caused my install problem in win2k and why didn't win2k recognize my modem?
 
The modem driver for your modem is probably different for ME and Win 2k.
Check with the manufacturer of your modem. They should have drivers for your
model modem that works with ME and separate drivers for Win 2k.
