ME edition - Windows update hangs on the web page dialog

I cannot download any updates or use certain web sites
which popup a window as part of opening another page. The
window opens and hangs. It is almost as if there is some
security problem. My XP machine is ok and I have set the
internet explorer settings the same. I have the same
problem in work through a proxy. This has only happened
in the past 2 weeks and I have downloaded all the updates.

All,
The Previous call - Save as a Pop Up window has fixed
my problem. Downloading the patch "IEFix.exe" has solved
my problem.
