Hi,

I have a client who needs to be able to use two Microsoft Access databases
on her machine, one of which uses system.mdw (i.e. no username/password),
the other uses a workigroup file I created.

How can I change the customised version back so it has no username/password
and just uses system.mdw??

Help v much appreciated!

Create a shortcut to your application that includes the /wrkgrp switch to
point to your workgroup file.

Hmm, your "i.e." seems to assume that the default system.mdw will never
have a username/password.

That is not correct. If you add a password to the Admin user of that
file, it will start asking for a username/password, just like any
/other/ workgroup file with a password on its Admin user.

In addition to using a shortcut for the secured mdb, as Doug suggests, use
the workgroup administrator (in the security menu) to rejoin system.mdw as
the default.
